The Chair of Shannon Group has dismissed suggestions the CEO of Clare County Council should have a seat on the Group’s board.
Conal Henry’s comments followed a briefing given to Clare Councillors earlier this week by himself and Shannon Group CEO Mary Considine.
Former Council CEO Tom Coughlan had a seat on the board, though there is no automatic seat at the table for the local authority despite it having been called for, for a number of years.

Ennis-based Fianna Fail Councillor Pat Daly had asked the current Chair to write to the Transport Minister on the matter, and says his response this week was disappointing.
