Shannon Airport Group CEO Admits Ongoing Heritage Uncertainty Is ‘Not Ideal’

The CEO of the Shannon Airport Group admits the ongoing uncertainty around the operation of Shannon Heritage sites is ‘not ideal’.

It comes amid continued confusion around the fate of the management of Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, Craggaunowen and Knappogue Castle, with suggestions Clare County Council’s been told it won’t be provided State funding to facilitate the transfer.

However, the Taoiseach insists negotiations remain ongoing, with the matter set to be raised again at a full meeting of the local authority’s elected members next week.
