Seven Clare Recipients Recognised With County’s Highest Honour

Seven recipients have been bestowed with the county’s highest honour by the Mayor of Clare.

The ceremony took place at Áras Contae an Chláir last evening.

Patrick Mungovan, who saved a life in Quilty last year, received mayoral recognition, as did Chair of the 12 O Clock Hills Committee Patsy Neville and the Scariff-Ogonnelloe camogie side who were crowned 2021 Munster champions.

Also honoured were leukaemia survivor Seán Óg Healy, European Ocean Kayak gold medallist Roisin Cahill, the Ennis Tidy Towns Committee and the Samaritans, who are celebrating 40 years in Clare.

Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council, Councillor PJ Ryan, says it was great to have a mix of award winners from a number of different backgrounds.
