The Burren EcoTourism Network has been hailed as a global leader in sustainable tourism in the prestigious Lonely Planet Best in Travel awards.
The international publication has selected the Network as being among 30 inspirational people, destinations and tourism projects as its annual awards scheme pivots to highlight commitments to community, diversity and sustainability.
The Burren won the Best Tourism Project award, which will now see the area showcased to Lonely Planets millions of readers around the world.
