Pope Francis has appointed a Clare Priest as the new Bishop of Ferns.
Tulla native, Fr Ger Nash has been the Director of Pastoral Development for the Diocese of Killaloe for the past five years and prior to that was appointed Diocesan Secretary.
He was ordained in 1991 and five years later was appointed General Manager of Clarecare, while he’s also served as resident priest in Corofin from 2003, before moving to Crusheen four years later.

Bishop of Killaloe, Fintan Monahan has congratulated Fr Ger Nash on his appointment, saying he will bring with him a rich wealth of wisdom, work ethic, patience, pastoral experience and capacity for empathising with so many people.
