Planning Permission For West Clare Wind Farm Rejected For Third Time

Planning permission for a major new windfarm in West Clare has been rejected for the third time.

Clare County Council has refused the development, which would have been located around five kilometres from Miltown Malbay and seven kilometres from Ennistymon near Slieve Callan.

The proposed works, which were due to be 175 metres high and encompass eight turbines, received over 100 objections including from a number of Clare Oireachtas members.
