Permission Granted For Modular Office To House Workers During Roche Decommissioning

The first step in the next phase of the Roche site in Clarecastle is a step closer.

Clare County Council has granted conditional planning permission to erect a modular office on site to facilitate workers during the decommissioning of the site.

The Swiss pharma giant announced in 2015 that it was to pull out of Clare, two buyers later pulled out and the site was taken off the market – now, the IDA is engaging in talks with Roche, with a view to actively pursuing an investor.

Now, this modular office is to be built to accommodate workers as the site is decommissioned, with permission granted subject to six conditions.
