Clare Gardaí are urging parents to inform their children about the dangers of pointing lasers at flying aircrafts.
It follows a serious incident off the coast of West Clare last week, in which a green laser was shone multiple times at a helicopter flying at 3,000 feet.
The pilot believed it was coming from the Lisdoonvarna direction and informed local Gardaí, who carried out patrols but were unable to pinpoint the location.
