Warning That Clare Children In Emergency Accommodation Are At Risk Of Adverse Childhood Trauma

Mid West Simon is warning that children in Clare could be at risk of adverse childhood trauma as a result of being in emergency accommodation for an extended period.

The Department of Housing’s Monthly Homelessness Report for August reveals that of the record 3,895 children living in homeless accommodation nationwide, 139 of these in the Mid West region.

The figures also show the current number of homeless adults in Ireland now stands at 12,691, with 65 of these in Clare.
