Mayor Of Clare Says ‘Nothing On Or Off The Table’ On Shannon Heritage Sites

The Mayor of Clare says ‘nothing is on or off the table’ in regards to the transfer of the management of Shannon Heritage sites to Clare County Council.

It’s after it emerged a senior civil servant had told the local authority the Department of Local Government will not be providing funding to facilitate the deal.

Negotiations have been ongoing on the operations of Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, Craggaunowen and Knappogue Castle since the beginning of the year, and are understood to be continuing.
