Make Way Day To Raise Awareness Of the Needs Of People With Disabilities In Public Spaces We All Share

Calls have been made in Clare for everyone to change their behaviour year-round and ‘make way’ for people with mobility difficulties.

Today is Make Way Day, which aims to raise awareness of the issues that hinder the daily lives of people with disabilities, particularly cars and bins on footpaths.

This year’s initiative, which is supported by An Garda Síochána, has seen the launch of an online, mobile friendly tool that the public can use to test and rate their local area and draw attention to anything that may be a barrier for people.
