Long Time Doolin Volunteer ‘Very Disappointed’ By Coast Guard Mediation Process

A long time volunteer with the Doolin unit of the Irish Coast Guard says he was ‘very disappointed’ by the process of an independent mediation process conducted late last year.

Kieran Mulvey was appointed by the Government to mediate a dispute between members back in November, after a number of high profile resignations took place.

The Doolin unit’s been reconstituted on an interim basis since early March, with the process of permanent recruitment to the unit now understood to be underway.
