Local Authority Seeks Ideas For Future Cliffs of Moher Strategy

A wide ranging public consultation programme on the future strategy for the Cliffs of Moher is getting underway.

Community organisations, tourism stakeholders and members of the public are being asked for their input to help formulate the Cliffs of Moher Strategy 2040, a joint initiative between Clare County Council and Fáilte Ireland.

1.6 million visitors travelled to the site during 2019, making it the most visited natural attraction in the country, but questions have been raised about the impact of this influx of visitors on the surrounding area, and what more can be done to get visitors to spend more time in Clare.
