The funeral mass takes place today of a North Clare priest who lost his life in a tragic accident in Kinvara last week.
Fr. Anthony Minniter’s car entered the water at Kinvara Quay on Thursday night, and despite a multi-agency operation which saw him rescued from the water, he was later pronounced dead at University Hospital Galway.
The Fanore native had most recently served as parish priest in Ballinderreen prior to his retirement, and today’s funeral mass will be held in St. Colman’s Church there at 12 noon.
