Fresh concerns are being expressed in Sixmilebridge regarding an ongoing illegal encampment adjacent to the town’s train station.
Yesterday’s Joint Policing Committee was told the occupants of the site have been issued a summons for trespassing, with mediation continuing to be attempted by both the Gardai and the local authority.
The lack of sanitary facilities at the site is also a cause for concern.

In a statement to Clare FM news, Clare County Council says it has been notified of an illegal encampment at Sixmilebridge and has been engaging with all stakeholders on this matter.
Independent Councillor PJ Ryan says he has also been in contact with the local authority in a bid to resolve the situation.
