Former Ennis Mayor Urges Businesses To Appeal New Commerical Property Valuation Rates

A former Mayor of Ennis is urging businesses to appeal the revaluation of their commerical property.

The Valuation Office is currently posting proposed valuation certificates to companies in Clare, which the local authority will use to calculate commercial rates.

Clare County Council say that currently over 80% of commercial rate customers in the county pay less than €5,000, however local councillors have been told that 30% of businesses in the county will receive an increased revaluation rate.
