The ESB has been urged to resolve lighting and cabling issues in Clare housing estates amid health and safety concerns.
It follows a number of recent reports of ‘blackouts’ in estates across the county owing to ESB and Safe Electric repair teams temporarily disconnecting power and not reconnecting it until a later time.
Fine Gael Councillor Mary Howard has asked Clare County Council to liaise with the two electricity providers with a view to resolving the issue and expediting repair times.
