Ennis Officially An ‘Age Friendly Town’

Ennis is now officially classed as an ‘age friendly town’.

The Clare County Council initiative will see a number of public realm projects continue in tandem with the project, including pedestrian crossing and dropped kerbs.

55 percent of older people surveyed by the local authority recently didn’t believe footpath maintenance was properly carried out, with a further 43 percent feeling walks in the town aren’t suitable for the elderly.
