Ennis Haulier ‘Concerned’ Over New PM’s Influence On Northern Ireland Protocol

The Clare-based president of the Irish Road Haulage Association has ‘concerns’ about the new British Prime Minister’s decisions on the Northern Ireland protocol.

Liz Truss will officially take office in 10 Downing Street today after meeting with the Queen at Balmoral.

Ms. Truss, in her role as chief Brexit negotiator for the UK, championed a bill to introduce unilateral legislation that would allow ministers to eradicate parts of the protocol which they didn’t like.
