Emergency Budget Proposal ‘Fanciful’ But Cost Of Living Interventions Needed Says Clare TD

A Clare Government TD claims the idea of an emergency budget to address cost of living concerns is a ‘fanciful’ proposal.

It follows the Government voting down Sinn Fein’s motion on the matter in the Dáil last night, with Ministers insisting interventions won’t be made until October’s budget.

However, Clare Fianna Fail TD Cathal Crowe claims while a mini budget isn’t a good idea, a package of targeted measures should be introduced for the most vulnerable before the autumn.
