Doubt Cast Over Trump’s Doonbeg Visit

Doubt has been cast over a potential visit by The US President to Clare next month.

Its reported that there has been disagreement over a possible meeting between Donald Trump and Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.

While The Taoiseach’s preference is to meet President Trump at his Doonbeg Hotel and Golf Resort, Irish Officials have instead pressed for a meeting at another location, preferably Dromoland Castle.

A White House source has told The Irish Times that Donald Trump is now favouring a visit to Scotland instead during his European visit, but sources in Dublin still believe the Irish visit will still go ahead.
