‘Devil Will Be In Detail’ Of New Bill Allowing 5 Days Domestic Violence Leave Says Clare Haven

Clare Haven says ‘the devil will be in the detail’ of a new bill which will allow for up to five days domestic violence leave for victims.

It’s one of a number of measures contained in the Government’s ‘zero tolerance’ strategy, announced last July, which plans to tackle domestic, sexual and gender-based violence.

The bill has been before Cabinet this week and it’s hoped the final legislation will be ready by Christmas.
