Senator Martin Conway has insisted he did offer to canvass with Bill Slattery ahead of last week’s local elections.
The outgoing Councillor lost his seat, and has blamed his party’s strategy, while many have criticised Martin Conway who canvassed heavily with the other Fine Gael colleague, Joe Garrihy.
