Clare’s Junior Minister “Could Have Done More” To Secure Roche Buyer – Carey

Clare Government TD Joe Carey claims his party colleague, Junior Minister Pat Breen could have done more, to secure a buyer for Roche in Clarecastle.

The Swiss pharma company announced it’s decision to pull out of Clare in 2015, and it had been hoped that another employer would move in, in it’s place.

While efforts were made at the time to secure a buyer, two parties pulled out at the eleventh hour and the plant has been now been taken off the market, with plans for remediation.
