A Clare Fianna Fáil TD is expressing confidence that a route from Shannon to Seville could be established in the near future.
The Spanish Government has been hosting talks with European delegates in the city this week on transport policy.
Ryanair is currently offering a six day service from Dublin, however the low-budget airline has in the last year added a new aircraft to its fleet at Shannon.
