Members of the Clare Pyrite Action Group are meeting with Clare County Council this afternoon to be updated on the county’s application under the Defective Concrete Block Scheme.

Affected homeowners last met with the local authority in February, following a request from the Department of Housing to conduct further testing to prove the presence of oxidised pyrite in Clare’s housing stock.

Campaigners for redress expect that the results of the additional testing on council-owned stock will be shared with them this afternoon.
