Clare Mayor Says National Planning Policies ‘Don’t Comply’ With Rural Development

The Mayor of Clare believes national planning guidelines ‘don’t comply’ with effective development for rural areas of the county.

It follows the unanimous decision of all Clare Councillors to sign off on the new County Development Plan 2023 to 2029.

The plan, which contains amendments on issues such as mining and wastewater infrastructure, will now have to be assessed by the Office of the Planning Regulator before it comes into effect.
