A Clare member of ISME’s National Council believes small businesses will find a way to be able to make auto-enrolment pension systems work.
Cabinet will be updated later today by Social Protection Minister, Heather Humphreys, on plans for the State and employers to pay into employee pension funds for those who earn over a certain amount.
It’s understood the government will pay €1 for every €3 an employee puts into their pension fund under the new system, with employers being required to match employee contributions once the scheme is up and running.
