Clare Independent TD Accuses Government Of ‘Double Speak’ On Climate Action Plan

A Clare Independent TD is accusing the Government of ‘double speak’ when it comes to targets being set under the Climate Action Plan.

Details of the revised plan, which are set to come before Cabinet tomorrow, are said to contain proposals to reduce the national herd by 10% by 2030 on a voluntary basis.

It’s also understood Environment Minister Eamon Ryan wants to push ahead with proposals to take one in five cars off of the roads within seven years.
