The Clare Immigrant Support Centre believes modular homes for refugees could be built in Clare within six months.

It comes as Cabinet met yesterday to determine the government’s priorities in relation to addressing the shortage of accommodation for refugees and asylum seekers.

Pressure is mounting on the state to source alternative accommodation, with 28% of tourist beds currently occupied by Ukrainian refugees and international protection seekers.
