Clare’s Fianna Fail Senator is confident that specific financial supports for communities in this county which are supporting Ukrainian refugees will soon be provided by Government.

It follows visits from both the Social Protection Minister and the Integration Minister to North Clare in the past week to meet with Council officials and local community groups.

More than 2,000 refugees from the war-torn state are now believed to be staying in this county, which is around 10 percent of Ireland’s total number.
