Clare Government Senator Believes Ireland ‘Not Moving Quickly Enough’ To Capture Offshore Wind

A Clare Government Senator believes the country isn’t moving quickly enough to capture its offshore wind potential.

It comes as Energy Minister Eamon Ryan is continuing his visit to the county today at Moneypoint, where he’ll officially unveil a 50 million euro synchronous compensator, one of the largest of its kind in the world.

The ESB says the instrument will enable higher volumes of renewables on the system and provide greater grid stability for the overall electricity network.
