Clare Gov Senator Calls For Processing Of Ukrainian Refugee Applications To Be Processed At Regional Level

A Clare Government Senator is calling for a regionalised approach to processing the applications of Ukrainian refugees arriving in Shannon.

Fine Gael Senator Martin Conway, says the structures which have been established to process refugees from the war-torn country in Dublin, need to be available for Ukrainians arriving at Shannon Airport.

The Ennistymon Senator also wants accommodation next to the airport and hot food to be provided by the state for refugees on their first night in the country.

Senator Conway says it’s time now to reorganise our approach.
