Clare Gardaí Warn Of Black Ice In Coastal Areas As Cold Spell Bites

Clare Gardai are warning motorists of the potential of black ice this morning, particularly on coastal and rural roads across the county.

The cold spell is continuing to bite across Clare and the rest of the country, with temperatures having dropped as low as -6 in parts overnight.

A status yellow low temperature and ice warning from Met Éireann remains in effect until 12 noon today, with forecasters warning the cold snap could last into at least the middle of next week.
