Clare Gardaí are celebrating the centenary anniversary of the arrival of the first members of the force to the county this morning.

A parade honouring the foundation of An Garda Síochána in 1922 is beginning at 11am in Ennis and involves the re-enactment of the first officers coming to Clare.

Gardaí are warning there may be some traffic disruptions at 11am and again at midday as a result of the march from O’Connell Square to the station.
