The death has taken place of broadcaster and musician Pat Costello.
The Shannon resident, who originally hails from Moycarkey, Co. Tipperary, is best known as a member of the renowned traditional group Shaskeen, with whom he also worked as a producer on many of their albums.
Pat has also shared his vast musical knowledge as the presenter of his quintessential Gentle Folk programme here on Clare FM for several years.
He is survived by his wife Rita, children Padraig, Eimear, Mary & Bríd and beloved grandchildren Feargal, Christopher, Meadhbh, Oisín, Cliodhna, Theodore, Maggie and Beth.
His sons-in-law and daughter-in-law, sisters Mary and Peggy and niece Melissa.
