Clare Fire Service Urge People To Check On Elderly Neighbours

Clare’s Senior Assistant Chief Fire Officer is reminding people to check-in on their elderly neighbours to ensure their home is safe.

It comes as National Fire Safety Week aims to encourage everyone to have a working smoke alarm in their home and to check them on a weekly basis.

The Clare public is being urged to keep internal doors closed at night, put a fire drill in place in both homes and workplaces and leave a building as soon as an alarm sounds.
