Claims Tenant Credit Will Be ‘Swallowed Up’ Due To Absence Of Rent Pressure Zone In Clare

A leading housing charity claims the tax credit for tenants will be ‘swallowed up’ due to the failure to make Clare a Rent Pressure Zone (RPZ).

As part of Budget 2023, renters will benefit from a €500 credit this year and next, impacting an estimated 400,000 people.

However, the landlord of the property must be registered with the Residential Tenancies Board in order for tenants to benefit.
