The number of Clare people in employment has risen by 13% since 2016.
The latest census figures show there are 56,144 people at work in the county.
Data from the latest census, which was carried out in April 2022, shows employment in Clare has risen by 6,633 people since the last census was carried out in 2016.
This represents a 13% increase and brings the total number of Clare people at work to 56,144.
Of these, 16,510 said they were working from home which accounts for 29% of the workforce in the county.
The average age in Clare is now 40.1 which is up from 38.5 in 2016.
The over 65 population has seen a 23% increase with 21,657 people aged 65 or above included in the census.
Almost three quarters of households are homeowners with 72% owning their own home and 21% renting.
The remainder is made up of people who either did not state the nature of their tenure or are occupying a home free of rent.
Dual citizenship is up by 77% with 4,572 in the county now carrying a dual Irish passport compared to 2,588 previously.
The number of Irish speakers in the county is up by 4% with 54,437 Clare people aged three or above able to speak Irish, which is a considerable increase on 52,482 in 2016.
