Car Sales In Clare Drop By 27% But Dealers Somewhat Upbeat

The number of new cars registered in Clare for the first six months of the year has dropped by more than a quarter when compared to the same time last year.

New figures from The Society of the Irish Motor Industry show that new car sales dropped by 27% in 2020 so far, with February and June being the only months to not see a decrease.

June 2020 sales were up by almost 70% but as it is generally a quiet month, that meant only 9 more cars were sold compared to 2019.
