Aontu’s Midwest representative is calling for a ‘substantial increase’ to the household electricity credits due to be paid next year.
Homes and businesses in Clare and elsewhere have already received 200 euro off their electricity bills between November and December, with another due in January and the final one to be applied in March.
The party wants this one to be increased to 400 euro per household in light of the recent cold snap.
