Almost €750,000 In Funding Granted For Three Clare Projects Under Town And Villiage Renewal Scheme

Almost three quarters of a million euro in funding has been announced for three projects in Clare under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme.

Clonlara is to receive the largest allocation of just over €450,000, for the creation of a plaza area at the village crossroads, as well as the development of a multi-purpose community space at Kiltenanlea Church.

Drumgeely in Shannon has been given €225,000 for a town centre regeneration including resurfacing works, the creation of a canopy, car parking, street furniture and planters.

While, the final grant in the first tranch for Clare is in Mountshannon, where almost €55,000 has been awarded to the community for the construction of a pavilion over the amphitheatre of Aistear Park.
