Almost 280,000 euro in funding has been announced for community groups in Clare, who have been impacted by Covid-19.
Clare County Council has been allocated 278,514 euro as part of the Community Activities Fund.
The 9 million euro national fund supports groups, particularly in disadvantaged areas, with running costs such as utility or insurance bills, as well as with improvements to their facilities.

Confirming the funding, Clare’s Fianna Fáil TD is encouraging eligible groups to apply, saying consecutive lockdowns have resulted in many groups seeing their coffers dry up, as they continue to pay for their rent or bills.
