More than half of domestic tanks in Clare failed inspections last year.

The latest report from the Environmental Protection Agency has found that of the 39 that required inspections, 30 were completed by Clare County Council and 57% of those didn’t meet requirements.

The study has also found that of the total number of inspections carried out between 2013 and 2020, 84% didn’t pass, with only 10 other local authority areas receiving higher failure rates over the seven year period.
