Tributes Pour In For GP Who “Helped Shannon Become What It Is Today”

Tributes are pouring in for a late Clare GP, who’s been described as a tremendous doctor who helped make Shannon what it is today.

Dr Nnaji Fabian Akamnonu, known affectionately as Dr Fabian operated the Ozundu Medical Centre in Ballycasey for over 20 years.

He’s survived by his wife Anne, children, extended family and friends.

Dr Fabian will be laid to rest tomorrow, following funeral mass in St Mary’s Church, Ruan at 11am.

His neighbour for a number of decades Noel McNamara has been telling Clare FM’s Morning Focus that he was full of enthusiasm and energy for everything he was involved in.
