Crusheen Teen Dies Following Road Traffic Accident

A Crusheen teenager has died in hospital nearly two days after she sustained serious injuries in a road traffic accident.
18 year old Delia Keary was the passenger in the Kia car which collided with a truck on the N21 at Wards Cross on the Limerick side of Abbeyfeale on Friday evening.
The 19 year old driver Gary Kelly died at the scene, while today Gardaí have confirmed that Delia Keary passed away at University Hospital Limerick last night.
The couple are among four Clare people who have died in road traffic accidents in recent days.
On Thursday, three year old Estlin Wall was laid to rest after she had died following a road accident on the N85 Ennis-Ennistymon Road.
Today, meanwhile, the funeral for Paul Hannon, who was aged in his 40s, took place in Parteen.
The Clare native had been living in Dublin for a number of years, and lost his life after he was involved in a collision with a car while he was cycling at Patrick Street in Dublin 8 at around 12:45 on Friday morning.
Separately, a cyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following another accident in the Bunratty area.
The collision, which also involved a camper van, occurred near exit 7 of the M18 northbound near Bunratty shortly after 12 noon today.

Emergency services including the fire service from Shannon attended the scene, while the man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
