Crowe Calls For Inis Orga Traffic Calming Measures

A Sixmilebridge councillor believes traffic calming measures need to be introduced at the Inis Orga estate in the town ‘sooner rather than later’.

It’s understood two children have been struck by vehicles there in recent years, with Fine Gael representative John Crowe now leading calls for speed bumps and other measures to be introduced.

Clare County Council says funding for such a project would have to be provided for by Transport Infrastructure Ireland as the local authority “does not have a budget” to cover the type of work required.
