Crowds are expected to descend on Shannon Airport this morning for the homecoming of Jim Warny.
The Belgian man, who’s been living in Ennis for fifteen years, has been labelled a “hero” after flying to Thailand to take part in the rescue of twelve youngsters and their coach from a flooded cave.

A member of the Irish Cave Rescue Organisation, Jim has previously completed the longest traverse of water-filled underground caves in Ireland and Britain in 2010, and has also been a diving instructor in Kilkee.
