Criticisms have been made of what's been called a "miniscule" amount of funding for arts groups in Clare.

The Council has approved grants totalling 23,600 euro to a total of 61 groups.
However, there had been 92 total applications, the the groups concerned requesting a total of nearly 90,000 euro.
Clare is positioning itself as a county of culture in 2016 but West Clare Independent Councillor Christy Curtin thinks this level of funding isn't enough.
