Criminal Damage Incident At Bunratty Bus Shelter Was Huge Set Back For Community

Hope has been expressed that thousands of euro worth of damage caused to a local bus shelter in Bunratty was an isolated incident.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing into an incident of criminal damage at one of two bus stops in the South East Clare village a fortnight ago.

The bus shelters were built voluntarily through sponsorship and are privately cleaned and maintained by local volunteers.

Local businessman Maurice Walsh says repairs were carried out just on time for the Women’s Irish Open and while the incident was a huge set back for the community, he hopes they’ll bounce back from it.
